We are Day 3 into 2011's RedNeck Holiday on Ice.
We got 5 inches of snow covered with 2 inches of ice on Sunday night and we have been cooped up in our house ever since.  We have gone on some walks and played in the park, and tested the weight limit of the ice to see if we could lay on it without breaking the ice.  The weight limit seems to be 180#.  We slid down our driveway with a cardboard box on Monday, and tried to make snowmen, but the thick ice and the wet snow are too difficult to work with.  On Tuesday at the park there were lots of people out using makeshift sleds and a few real sleds.
We are getting stir crazy.  Kyla cried today for 10 minutes straight when we tried to take her up the street to see if Carver's was open.  We didn't make it, she was too pathetic.  She is ready to get back to regularity, even if she won't admit it.
Today it seems that some places are opening up again.
Maybe school will be open tomorrow.
All these home cooked meals are getting redundant.
